David Freund is an experienced database and IT manager with a strong background in healthcare technology and education. Currently serving as the Epic Core Services Manager at Optum since September 2022, David oversees the administration of Epic Chronicles and Cogito data warehousing, advises on database decisions, and manages vendor relationships. Prior to this role, David held positions as an Epic Operational Database Administrator at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics and Senior Database Administrator at Seattle Children's Hospital, where responsibilities included managing Epic databases and client systems. David's diverse experience also includes technical support, educational roles, and business management in various other organizations, underpinned by a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington and an Advanced Certificate in TESOL.
