Sabine Duquesne is a Senior Scientific Officer and Environmental Risk Assessor at the German Environment Agency (UBA) since November 2009, with a focus on national and EU environmental risk assessment of plant protection products. Additionally, Sabine serves as an expert on the Panel for Plant Protection Products and their Residues at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) since 2012. Sabine's previous experience includes roles as a Senior Research Scientist at UFZ, where research centered on aquatic ecotoxicology, and as a Research Scientist at the University of the West of England, focusing on heavy metal contamination. Earlier research experience includes studying the effects of contaminants on marine life at The University of Queensland and working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Central Queensland. Sabine holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Ecotoxicology from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology. Key interests include the propagation of effects at various biological organization levels, combined stressor effects, and pest population control strategies impacting non-target species.
