Samantha Toet is a data scientist specializing in equitable analysis at The Equity Center at The University of Virginia, where the focus is on fostering mutual respect and shared power between scholars and the surrounding community. As the founder of R-Ladies Charlottesville, Samantha promotes gender diversity within the R programming and data analysis community through mentorship and workshops. Previous roles include Partner Solutions Engineer and Partner Manager at Posit PBC, where Samantha supported RStudio partners in delivering training and management services, as well as leading the R Community IDEA Project for the R Consortium to enhance diversity and inclusion efforts. Earlier experience includes serving as a Marketing Data Scientist and Office Manager at VividCortex and an Administrative Assistant at Silverchair. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from the University of Virginia.
