Robert Wood has extensive experience in the field of economics and financial risk management. Robert started their career at The Economist in 1997 as a Regional Manager and Deputy Director of Country Risk, specializing in Latin American countries such as Brazil and Mexico. Robert contributed to the Economist Intelligence Unit's product portfolio, advised both private sector clients and government officials, and was frequently quoted in the specialist media.
In 2018, Robert joined the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) as a Principal Economist and Financial Risk Manager for Latin America. Robert held various roles within the organization, including Manager of the Country Risk Service. Robert's expertise focused on sovereign, currency, and banking sector risks in Latin America, with a specialization in Brazil.
