Kirkley Strand currently serves as the Chief Advancement Officer at The Door - A Center of Alternatives, a position held since August 2024. Prior experience includes significant roles at The New York Foundling as Senior Vice President of Development and Vice President of Development & Communications from August 2017 to July 2024, and as Chief Development Officer at Storefront Academy from October 2013 to July 2017. Kirkley Strand also held various positions at Read Ahead, University Settlement Society of New York, and its previous stint at The Door. Earlier professional experience includes a role as a Fourth Grade Teacher with the New York City Department of Education from 2004 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a BA in Politics from Mount Holyoke College and an MS in Education from Mercy University.
