Eric Hastings currently serves as the Chief Policy Advisor for The Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families, where responsibilities include the creation and management of internal policies and chairing an internal policy committee. Previously, Hastings held roles such as Legislative Director and Executive Assistant to Speaker Schwartzkopf in the Delaware House of Representatives, overseeing communications and managing the floor agenda. With experience as a Legislative Fellow at the University of Delaware, an Athletics and Teen Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Delaware, and a Program Manager at the Delaware Safety Council, Hastings has developed a diverse skill set in policy management, legislative processes, and community programming. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, both from the University of Delaware.
