Chelsea Liang currently serves as a Senior Policy Officer at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, focusing on the Technology Assessment and Access Division. Previously, Chelsea worked as a Health Security Policy Researcher at Good Ancestors Policy, where research on pandemic preparedness was tailored to the Australian context. Chelsea has experience in policy advocacy and participation in interdisciplinary research projects, including work on metagenomic monitoring for biosurveillance. With a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Bioinformatics from UNSW, Chelsea's background includes various research roles in genomic characterisation and bioinformatics pipeline construction. Chelsea also held leadership positions in the UNSW iGEM competition and the UNSW Solar Racing Team.
