David Dillman is an experienced columnist and maritime professional actively contributing to The Galveston County Daily News since June 2021 as a correspondent for the Reel Report, focusing on fishing in Galveston Bay. Dillman co-hosts the Hedges and Highways Radio Show, a live program dedicated to sharing personal testimonies of faith. David founded Eagle Point Fishing Camp Inc in 1990, serving as a charter captain, writer, and marina manager, and has been writing for the Gulf Coast Mariner/Bay Area magazine since 2015. Previously, Dillman held positions as harbormaster at Waterman from June 2012 to March 2016 and as a boat captain at Sea Tow from January 2010 to June 2012. Education includes studies at Southwest Texas and the University of St. Thomas.
