Joe Porter is an experienced professional with a strong background in public service and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as a Contact Centre Operator in the public sector since January 2023, Porter has played a pivotal role in various capacities within the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, including Vice Chair of the Staffordshire Sustainability Board, Cabinet Member for Climate Change & Biodiversity, and Conservative Group Secretary. Additionally, Porter holds positions as an Officer Cadet in the Royal Navy Reserve and a Steering Committee Member for the Conservative Environment Network. Community involvement includes serving as a Parish Councillor for both Brown Edge and Endon With Stanley, a School Governor with the Church of England, and a Radio Presenter for Churnet Sound. Porter has been an active campaigner for the Conservative Party since 2012 and has held several leadership roles within the party.
