Yasmeen Saadi is a K-12 Education and Youth Reporter for Columbia Missourian, with previous reporting experience as a Reporting Intern at TheWire.in and an Investigative Reporting Intern at Oklahoma Watch. Yasmeen served as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where investigative research focused on rural communities in Missouri lacking essential resources. Additional experience includes roles as a Student Research Assistant at Reynolds Journalism Institute, a Rural Reporting Fellow at the Center For Rural Strategies, a Production Assistant at KOMU 8 & Mid-Missouri CW, and various editorial positions at Blue Valley North High School. Yasmeen's work also encompassed an Innovation Intern position at CommunityAmerica Credit Union and a MediaWise High School Intern role, further developing skills in journalism and media literacy. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Yasmeen combines diverse reporting and research experiences with a strong educational background.
