Simon Higgins is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public sector roles, currently serving as the Head of Communications for The City of Edinburgh Council since February 2017. Prior to this, Simon held positions such as Head of Strategic Communications at Suffolk County Council and Head of Marketing and Communications at North Tyneside Council, where key responsibilities included corporate communications strategy, stakeholder management, and leadership of sizable teams. Notable achievements include the successful implementation of customer service and digital transformation strategies, effective media management, and significant budget savings across various roles.
