Stephen Longden is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education and theological assessment. Currently retired since February 2018, Stephen serves as a Bishops’ Assessor for Theological Education for the Church of England, focusing on ensuring quality in theological education. Past roles include Moderator for Overseas Franchises at the University of Wales, where quality assurance of franchise colleges was managed, and Client Manager at Staffordshire University, overseeing client relationships and course delivery in various business disciplines. Stephen's academic leadership is highlighted by positions at the University of Derby, where responsibilities included managing postgraduate programs and academic staff in disciplines such as Accounting and Human Resource Management. Additionally, volunteer counseling work was conducted at Lichfield Counselling Service. Stephen holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Strategic Management, a Master's degree in Coaching and Mentoring, and an MA in Theological and Pastoral Studies.
