Kathryn Alford is an experienced Vicar at St Michael & All Angels, Birchwood, and St John's, Lemsford, in the Church of England, where service has been ongoing since June 2020. Previously, Kathryn held the position of Head of Diversity & Inclusion at the UK Ministry of Defence from December 2015 to June 2020, leading a team to enhance the organization's D&I performance. Other notable roles include Vision and Strategy Development for the Church of England in 2014-2015, Head of Consumer Engagement in the Smart Metering Implementation Programme at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, and multiple leadership positions at the UK Ministry of Defence starting in 1997. Kathryn is academically qualified with a BA (Hons) in History from The University of Manchester, a PG Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, and a Diploma in Theology Mission and Ministry from the Eastern Region Ministry Course.
