Deborah Marsden is a medical doctor specializing in inborn errors of metabolism, with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as a Medical Doctor at Boston Children's Hospital since September 2006, Deborah has also held significant roles such as Executive Director and Global Medical Expert for Genetic Metabolic Disorders at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. from April 2013 to December 2024, and Senior Medical Director at Pfizer's Orphan and Genetic Disease Research Unit from July 2010 to August 2012. Previous positions include Senior Director at Amicus Therapeutics, focusing on global medical affairs for chaperone therapies, and Director of Global Medical Affairs at Genzyme, where management of the launch of Myozyme occurred. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from UNSW.
