Pilar Muhammad is an experienced clinical therapist currently working at The Children's Center of Hamden since April 2023. Prior to this role, Pilar served as a social work intern at Youth Challenge CT, where responsibilities included providing case management services, facilitating anger management groups, and offering one-on-one substance abuse counseling. Pilar's background also includes working as a Case Manager II at The Connection, Inc., focusing on individuals facing probation, parole, and severe mental health or substance abuse issues. Earlier experience includes internships with the Connecticut State Judicial Branch and Legacy Theatre, as well as multiple camp counselor positions at The Y (YMCA). Pilar holds a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and has completed education at Quinnipiac University and The New School.
