Maria J. Rosales serves as the Director of Accountability for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Chicago Department of Aviation, overseeing initiatives at O'Hare and Midway International Airports since November 2016. Prior roles include serving as a Policy Analyst and Executive Assistant within the same department. Maria has extensive experience in public service, having worked as a Public Service Administrator for the State of Illinois in Pharmacy Services from 2004 to 2009, and previously as a Director at a Social Service Agency from 1997 to 2000. Earlier in the career, Maria held positions as an Adoption Specialist and Child Welfare Specialist at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services from 1994 to 1997, and as a Counselor at a Social Service Agency from 1992 to 1994. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Science in Human Services Administration from Spertus College.
