Michael Ombrellino MD FACS is a Clinical Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School since January 2005 and serves as a partner at The Cardiovascular Care Group, specializing in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery since June 2013. From January 2021 to January 2023, Michael held the position of Chief of Vascular Surgery at Morristown Medical Center. Prior to these roles, Michael was a managing partner at the Vein Institute of New Jersey from July 2000 to June 2013, and completed a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at North Shore-LIJ Health System from July 1998 to June 2000 after completing a general surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center from July 1993 to June 1998. Michael received a Doctor of Medicine from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna between 1985 and 1992 and attended Binghamton University and Edward R. Murrow High School earlier in their education.
