Marla Catherine Trinidad

Staff Attorney, Civil Action Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Marla Trinidad received her J.D./M.A. from The Ohio State University. During law school, she served as the Executive Director for the Pro Bono Research Group, an organization that paired local public interest attorneys with law students who completed research projects to assist the attorneys in their representation of low-income clients. She spent a summer interning with the Civil Practice at the Legal Aid Society's Harlem Community Law Office, and during the school year she volunteered with the Tenant Advocacy Project at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. Upon graduation, Marla worked as a Staff Attorney at the the Legal Aid Society, representing juveniles in Article 10 cases in the Bronx. Afterwards, she served as the Law-Related Education Coordinator at Legal Outreach, facilitating debates and attorney mentorship programs for NYC high school students from historically underserved communities.
