Richard Withington has been a Boston Police Officer since 1995. He has worked in Districts B-2 (Roxbury), B-3 (Mattapan), D-14 (Brighton/Alston), Special Operations Motorcycle Unit/ SWAT Team, and is currently assigned to the Firearms Training Unit. Rich has been a BPPA Representative for about 10 years in multiple Units and a member of the Grievance Committee. Rich was born in Jamaica Plain area of Boston and was raised in the Dorchester/Mattapan area of Boston. He is a graduate of Brighton High School and has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England College.
