Hannah Paterson is an experienced professional in the field of grantmaking and community engagement, currently serving as a Trustee at The Blagrave Trust and Head of Community Activation at the TransCap Initiative. As the Founder and Working Group Member of the Participatory Grantmaking Community of Practice, Hannah has successfully built a global community with over 1,300 members and organized numerous events to promote participatory funding practices. Hannah's work as a Churchill Fellow focused on researching participatory grantmaking approaches in South Africa and the USA. Previously, extensive roles at The National Lottery Community Fund involved leading significant funding initiatives and managing large teams to distribute millions in grants. Additional experience includes several trustee positions and leadership roles aimed at supporting community development and addressing policy issues. Hannah holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Manchester.
