Helen was a Governor for 11 years at St Robert's Catholic school in Harrogate with 4 years as Chair, also the Designated Safeguarding Governor and Chair of the Headteacher Appraisal team.

Helen found the role as a Governor a rewarding experience working with strong dedicated school staff to support the all-round education for children in the school community, she was a member of the St Robert's Church children's liturgy group for 14 years where she was able to get to know many children and their families.

Helen is also a Director and manager of an Early Year's Preschool setting in North Yorkshire where she is also the Safeguarding Lead and Senco.

Helen is the Vice Chair of the Trust Board and the Chair of the Resources Committee.
