Mrs. Radha Bhatia is a pioneering entrepreneur, a visionary, a business leader and a passionate philanthropist with over five decades of experience. As a leading woman in the travel, trade & aviation domain, she is a role model to millions.
Fuelled by her passion she started her journey in the year 1975 from a small travel agency called Bird Travels. Today that journey is changing lives for the better across the globe. She is regarded as an unconventional thinker with many firsts to her credit.
Mrs. Bhatia completed her schooling from Sophia Girls School with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Raghunath Girls College, Meerut. Before starting Bird Travels Mrs. Bhatia was a teacher and she till date pursues her passion to train young girls and boys.
Mrs. Radha Bhatia is the force behind 'Bird Academy', an IATA and DGCA approved travel & aviation institute formed in the year 1998. Since its inception the institute creates a pool of talent for aviation and travel industry and has constantly enriched and enlarged its activities and offered more than 50000 trained professionals who are gainfully employed in India & abroad.
In her successful career she has held many significant positions. Mrs. Radha Bhatia is the founder member of the World Travel & Tourism Council India Initiative and is the former Chairperson of the Council. She is also the Vice Chairperson of Export Software Council, North India.
Mrs. Radha Bhatia holds the prestigious diplomatic position as the Honorary Consul of Solomon Islands in India after having been selected by the Government of Solomon Islands to represent their country. She is the first woman to hold this distinction in India.
Mrs. Bhatia is also deeply associated with various professional associations such as CII, EBG, ASSOCHAM, FICCI, PHD, IACC, FIEO, Export Software Council North India, Indo American Chamber of Commerce and the Indo- German Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Bhatia was also the Chairwoman for the CII IWN (Indian Women Network) Delhi Chapter.
Having been inspired by Senior Representative of FAA, Mrs. Bhatia was successful in forming the Women In Aviation International (India Chapter). Women in Aviation International, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career. She was unanimously elected as the President of WAI India Chapter and has inspired many girls across India to show them the path of various verticals in aviation.
