Matthew McCallion

Barrister-at-law at The Bar of Northern Ireland

Matthew McCallion is a PhD student at Queen's University Belfast, having previously served as a barrister-at-law since September 2019. Prior experience includes a part-time teaching assistant role in the School of Law at Queen's University Belfast and legal work experience at Caldwell Warner Solicitors, where responsibilities encompassed handling plaintiff car insurance claims, client advising, and negotiating with insurers. Matthew has also contributed as a student caller for the Queen's Annual Fund, providing support in contacting alumni and managing sensitive data, as well as gaining diverse customer service experience in hospitality. An educational background includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies, a Master of Laws in Human Rights and Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor of Laws, all from Queen's University Belfast.
