James Carson is a qualified Barrister at Law in Northern Ireland, having been called to the Bar in September 2022. Currently engaged in pupillage under Andrew Brown BL, James has gained experience in various civil matters, preparing for proceedings in multiple courts and professional misconduct panels. James previously served as a Constituency Manager for Robin Swann MLA at the Northern Ireland Assembly, focusing on Health policy communication. Early career roles include positions as a Student Engagement Assistant and a Student Learning Assistant at Queen's University Belfast, as well as co-founding Hurtlockers Medical Ltd, a startup recognized for its innovative first-aid solution. James is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Disability Law at the University of Galway, building on a robust academic foundation that includes a Professional Legal Studies diploma and an LLM.
