Ailish Campbell is the Ambassador of Canada to the European Union at Global Affairs Canada, where leadership of a 100-member team focuses on promoting Canada's interests within the EU. Campbell has significant experience in international trade and economic policy, previously serving as Chief Trade Commissioner and Assistant Deputy Minister for International Business Development, overseeing a large group of trade experts. Prior roles include General Director at Finance Canada, Vice President of Policy at the Business Council of Canada, and several senior positions in government and academia, including at the Privy Council Office and the University of Oxford. Ailish Campbell holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Oxford, as well as degrees from Harvard Kennedy School, LSE, Queen's University, and the Rotman School of Management.
