Maryam Hassan is an experienced educator currently serving as Assistant Principal and Team Lead at The American School of Kuwait since August 2018. In this role, Maryam facilitates biweekly grade level meetings and communicates team needs to administration while guiding team reflection processes and supporting the development of semester SMART Goals, particularly in literacy. Previously, Maryam worked as a 1st Grade Teacher, conducting professional development sessions and adapting to online teaching methods. Additional experiences include coaching soccer for U10 and U12 girls, teaching various grades in district school settings, and contributing to educational programs through AmeriCorps. Maryam holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
