Angeliki Yiangou is a seasoned professional in policy management with extensive experience in the field of health and science. Currently serving as Senior Policy Manager and Interim Head of Science Base and Careers Policy at The Academy of Medical Sciences since December 2019, Angeliki has previously held the position of Policy Adviser at Cancer Research UK from October 2017 to December 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Policy Manager, Intern at The Vaccine Confidence Project, and a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at UCL STEaPP, as well as a Visiting Worker at The Francis Crick Institute. Angeliki began a career in research as a Research Laboratory Technician with the NHS, focused on biochemical analysis related to Trisomy 21 and Preeclampsia. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Science, Engineering, and Public Policy from UCL and a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the same institution. Educational background also includes studies at Dame Alice Owen's School and Queen Elizabeth's Girls School.
