Bernard Harris is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in various sectors, currently serving as the President and CEO of Vesalius Ventures. Bernard has held the position of President at The Harris Foundation since January 1998 and served as the Chief Executive Officer of The National Math and Science Initiative from May 2018 to July 2023. Bernard’s notable career as an astronaut at NASA spanned from 1990 to 2010. Academically, Bernard holds a Bachelors in Biology from the University of Houston, a Doctorate in Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a Master of Medical Sciences from The University of Texas Medical Branch, and an MBA from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
