Gaurang Tandon has had a diverse and impressive work experience. Gaurang began their career in 2018 as a member of the Tech Team for E-Cell, IIIT Hyderabad, where they maintained the website and server for various ECell activities. In 2020, they worked as a Web Developer for Virtual Labs, MHRD, modernizing the Artificial Neural Network labs and upgrading outdated Processing Java/Flash code to Processing JavaScript. Gaurang also converted an unmaintainable PHP backend to a modular, API driven Python Flask backend, while retaining all features as before, maintaining API correctness via pytest. In the same year, they worked as a Teaching Assistant for IIIT Hyderabad and as a Programming Club Coordinator for the Programming Club, IIIT-Hyderabad, taking teaching sessions and hands-on workshops and managing Codecraft 2021 problemsetting. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer for Text Blaze and as a Summer Intern for Tower Research Capital, where they built a fully automated incident report generation tool, improving the time taken for failure investigations from almost an hour to under five minutes.

Gaurang Tandon completed their BTech in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended City Monstessori School from 2013 to 2018. Gaurang has also obtained certifications from various institutions, including the TensorFlow in Practice Specialization from Coursera in January 2020, the Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in July 2019, the Duolingo English Fluency: Expert (Estimated) from Duolingo in March 2016, and An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python by Rice University from Coursera in July 2014.
