Emily Williams Knight is the current President & CEO at Texas Restaurant Association. Emily has previously served as the Managing Director at Study Group from January 2016 to December 2019 and as Laureate from January 2011 to December 2017. In their role as Managing Director, they were responsible for Study Group's North America business, which included the United States and Canada. Emily was also a member of the Global Executive Team. As Laureate, they served in three key global leadership positions, including President of Kendall College, Head of business development, and student recruitment for 4 universities. Emily has also worked extensively around the world creating new programs and models with more than a dozen foreign universities. Knight has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and has been recognized for their work in developing new programs and expanding university campuses globally.
Emily Williams Knight has a BS from Boston University in Hospitality Administration. Emily also has an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Newbury College. Emily has a MS in Management from Troy University. Finally, they have a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Walden University. Emily is also certified from ASU GSV Summit in 2018 ASU-GSV Summit and ASU GSV 2017.
