Ana Stewart, MS has a diverse work experience across various industries. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Teaching Associate at Cal Poly State University, where they taught labs for the Kinesiology department. During this time, they also volunteered for the American Heart Association. In 2011, Ana became a Research Assistant at Cal Poly State University, working on NIH grant research studies focused on postpartum weight loss. Ana also served as a Part-time Lecturer for the Kinesiology Department. From 2014 to 2018, Ana worked as an Exercise Physiologist at St. David's HealthCare, providing patient care during cardiac stress testing. Ana also worked as a Certified Personal Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness during this time. In 2017, Ana took on additional roles as a Master Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness and a Health Tech PRN at Catapult Health, where they performed health screenings and provided support to clients. Ana later worked as a Health Screening Counselor at Apple, conducting health screenings for employees. In 2018, Ana joined PPD as a Clinical Research Recruiter, responsible for screening candidates and creating study documents. Most recently, Ana has been working at Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology, P.A. since 2018, holding positions including Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, Assistant Site Director, and Director of Site Operations - Research.
Ana Stewart, MS, has a strong educational background in the field of Kinesiology. Ana earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Kinesiology, with a focus on Exercise Science & Health Promotion and Clinical Exercise, from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Ana further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained a Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology.
In addition to their academic achievements, Ana has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ana is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, having received this certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in April 2021. Ana is also ACLS certified (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), which they obtained from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in December 2016. In the same year, they also obtained the BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Adult and Child CPR and First Aid from the same institution. Furthermore, in January 2015, Ana became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers.
