Troy Simmons currently serves as the Strategic Reserve Fleet Manager at the Texas Department of Transportation, overseeing the management of the Department's strategic reserve fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment while coordinating emergency response and fleet needs. Previously, Troy held the role of System Administrator, where responsibilities included maintaining the enterprise fleet/asset management system and participating in the successful implementation of a new asset management solution. As a Regional Fleet Manager, Troy managed over 2,500 heavy and light-duty assets across Southeast Texas. Prior experience includes Fleet Operations Manager at Advantage Rent-a-Car. Troy holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas Tech University.
