Gyaney Pokharel, PE, currently serves as a Geotechnical Engineer at the Texas Department of Transportation since November 2022. Previously, Gyaney held the position of Principal Geotechnical Consultant at WEI from September 2020 to September 2022. With a professional engineering license in eight states, Gyaney has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, including roles as Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Jacobs and Lead Ground Engineer at Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. Gyaney has also contributed to the ASCE GI Technical Committee as a member, focusing on ground improvements and computational geotechnics. Educationally, Gyaney holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Nagoya University, an MEng in Geotechnical Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, and a BECE in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
