James Meintjes

James Meintjes is the current Secretary at Texas Ballet Theater. Prior to their current position, Meintjes served as the Vice President of Special Projects at UNT Health Science Center from November 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they were a strategic business advisor to the President and senior leadership, offering effective and insightful contributions to enhance and expand partnerships with non-profit, corporate and governmental entities. James also launched the institution's three year strategic effort to create a culture of continuous process improvement across campus. Additionally, Meintjes served in interim capacity as head of Budget and Finance department.

From May 2006 to September 2008, Meintjes was the Executive Vice President - Divisional CFO/COO at Countrywide Bank. In this role, they were responsible for building the team and infrastructure to support the launch of new business. The scope of work included: finance, transaction administration, technology, process improvement and reporting. The result was profitability being reached within eight months of launch.

From January 2005 to December 2006, Meintjes was the Executive Vice President - COO/CFO of Mortgage Company at Guaranty Bank.

James Meintjes has a MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business, a degree in Banking from Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Accounting/Business from Arizona State University.
