Krista Marx is a seasoned education professional with over 33 years of experience in public education, currently serving as the Sr Organization Learning and Development Specialist at the Texas Association of School Boards since September 2022. Previously, Krista held the role of Human Capital Coordinator at Elgin ISD from August 2016 while also contributing as an Online Facilitator and Professional Development Consultant for Education Service Center Region 13. Krista has trained Texas Teacher Reading Academies and developed literacy-based teaching strategies throughout a career that began with classroom teaching at Bastrop ISD and transitioned through various roles at Elgin Elementary School and the Oklahoma Department of Education. Krista holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Trinity University and a Master’s degree in Education from Texas State University.
