M.Carmen Alvarez Abril is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and genetics sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at TETRANEURON SL since February 2021, M.Carmen focuses on management support, R&D, financing, and product development for innovative gene therapies targeting Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, M.Carmen is a Mentor at Mendel's Brain, which specializes in genetic testing for psychological applications. Previous roles include Strategic Assistant to the CEO and R&D Manager at Instituto de Medicina Genómica, where M.Carmen enhanced interdepartmental collaboration and managed various strategic projects, and Co-Founder & COO of Valentia Biopharma, pioneering research in novel therapies for rare genetic disorders. M.Carmen holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a Master's in Research and Rational Use of Drugs, a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Valencia, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at EAE Business School.
