Varun S Gangoor is an accomplished data professional with extensive experience in data engineering and platform management. Currently serving as the Head of Data at Tesco since February 2024, Varun previously held the position of Head of Data Platform Engineering at SumUp from December 2021 to January 2024 and Head of Data Engineering at Zopa from April 2018 to December 2021. Before that, Varun worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Grabyo from November 2015 to March 2018 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Tesco HSC from December 2009 to September 2014. Varun holds a Master's Degree in Data Science and Analytics from the Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering. Education was further enriched at Government Boys Pre University College and St. Joseph's High School in Hassan.
