Christopher Regan is a Principal Engineer specializing in Nuclear Fluids Systems at TerraPower since March 2014, where involvement includes the innovative Natrium sodium fast reactor, which utilizes molten salt thermal energy storage. Regan has developed and executed test programs for the sodium-cooled Traveling Wave Reactor in an NQA-1 environment, contributing innovative design features to various mechanical and sodium-based tests. Prior experience includes a 15-year tenure as a Senior Engineer at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, focusing on material testing and irradiation test program management, as well as early work evaluating generation IV nuclear reactor concepts for naval propulsion. Regan began the career as an intern at Haynes International, managing and documenting corrosion test rigs. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Materials Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
