Leo Lu has been working in the software engineering industry since 2004. Leo began their career at Old Republic Title Company as a Software Engineer, developing a Windows application used by 5000 internal users and building the company external website in ASP. Net, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. In 2006, they moved to UCSF, where they developed Windows/web applications using C# and VB. Net, and upgraded web applications with advanced technologies. In 2008, they joined Reality Digital as a Software Engineer, developing multiple social networking web applications using ASP. Net, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and integrating applications with Google, YouTube, Facebook and PayPal APIs. In 2010, they moved to Sequoia Retail Systems, where they developed ecommerce web/mobile applications used by 80 universities, created Java applications in Eclipse, and enhanced websites performances using Ajax, JQuery and Prototype. In 2011, they joined Archetype, Inc., where they developed web/mobile/Xbox applications in Visual Studio . Net and created Android applications in Eclipse. In 2012, they moved to Intel Media (acquired by Verizon), where they designed complex video streaming applications, developed web applications using HTML5 and JavaScript, and created Android applications in Eclipse. In 2014, they joined Verizon as a Sr. Software Engineer, developing video streaming applications using C/C++, creating Android/iOS applications, building Back-End web services using Scala/Java, and developing front-end applications using HTML5 and JavaScript. In 2015, they moved to Sonr News as a Sr. Software Engineer, developing web/mobile applications in Visual Studio . Net and creating Java applications in Eclipse. Currently, they are working at Terrace Consulting, Inc. as a Sr. Lead Consultant, developing web applications in Visual Studio . Net using MVC, Entity Framework, WCF and WebAPI, and performing system and software analysis to clients based on best software practices.
Leo Lu obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis from 1998 to 2003. Leo then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Software Engineering from California State University-Sacramento from 2003 to 2007. In 2016, Leo obtained two certifications from Microsoft: the 70-480: Microsoft Specialist: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, and the 70-486: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Web Applications Charter Member.
