David Montoya González is an experienced professional specializing in geospatial solutions, particularly in the fields of carbon accounting and biodiversity. Currently serving as Director - Project Manager and Remote Sensing Lead at Terra Global since May 2019, David develops geospatial strategies using GIS and remote sensing technologies to meet international carbon accountability standards for forestry and agricultural REDD+ projects. Previous roles include external consultant positions at South Pole and the Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística - DANE Colombia, where David focused on land-use change modeling and census spatial database organization, respectively. David's academic background includes a Master's degree in Remote Sensing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and a Bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
