Brian Coleman has over 30 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Brian currently holds the position of Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Terabase Energy, where they started in October 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Engineering & Manufacturing Director at RealRyder International for nine years from March 2011 to September 2020.

From 2007 to 2010, Brian served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at eSolar, Inc. During their time there, they developed a heliostat system for solar thermal plants and worked with manufacturers in China to reduce costs and ensure quality for high volume production. Brian also designed assembly processes and on-site assembly equipment for reflectors.

Before joining eSolar, Inc., Brian worked at Idealab as a Mechanical Design Engineer, focusing on solar concentrator products and R&D of heliostat calibration and tracking methods. Brian also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant at Energy Innovations.

In the early years of their career, Brian held various positions, such as Lead Design Engineer at Toolproject Design, Director of Creative Services at Warner Bros. Online, and Designer/Fabricator at Design Models of California, Inc. In these roles, they worked on a range of projects, including human interface design, architectural design, product development, and building full-scale mock-ups and prototypes.

Brian's work experience showcases their expertise in mechanical engineering, particularly in the field of solar energy.

Brian Coleman attended ArtCenter College of Design from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design.
