Zhi-Gang Liu currently serves as an AI/ML Accelerator Architect at Tenstorrent, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Zhi-Gang Liu was an AI/ML/HPC architect at Samsung Semiconductor US from October 2022 to November 2023 and a Principal Research Engineer at Arm from December 2017 to October 2022. Previous experience includes working as a GPU Architect at NVIDIA from April 2015 to December 2017 and as a Member of Technical Staff at EZchip, which was acquired by Mellanox and then NVIDIA. Zhi-Gang Liu began a career at Tilera Corporation as an MTS Engineer from May 2011 to November 2014, before it was acquired by EZchip. Earlier positions include a Consultant SW Engineer at EMC (2001-2011), acquired by Dell, and an Embedded System Engineer at Panametrics (2000-2001), acquired by GE. Zhi-Gang Liu holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master's degree in Physics from Brandeis University, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Tsinghua University.
