Jeffrey Wilk began their work experience in 1985 as a Production Manager and Technical Designer at George Coates Performance Works. Jeffrey then worked as a Freelance Production Manager and Technical Designer for local performance and dance companies from January 1987 to January 1990. In the same year, they also became the Principal Strategic/Creative Director at Tencue Productions, where they are currently in that role.

Jeffrey Wilk attended William Howard Taft High School from 1973 to 1976. Following high school, they pursued higher education at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in sociology from 1976 to 1982.
