Marcelo Lima has over 35 years of work experience in the IT industry. Marcelo began their career in 1986 as a Senior Network Analyst at Grupo RBS. In 1996, they moved to ADP Brasil Ltda as a Senior Network Analyst. In 2004, they took on the role of Security and Network Coordinator at Brasil Telecom. In 2006, they became the Support and Implementation Manager at NET Oficial, where they were responsible for technical support teams and datacenter operation teams. Marcelo also accomplished the mission of setting up a new operations datacenter and moving all infrastructure and systems from an outsourcing datacenter facility to the new company datacenter. In 2014, they joined Claro Brasil as an IT Cloud and Infrastructure Manager. Here, they created synergy between the teams of the 3 companies with different cultures and 150 people distributed in 10 different cities. Marcelo also consolidated the existing infrastructure contracts with multiple suppliers, saving approximately US$ 2 MM/year in the listed disciplines while leading the transformation of the new company infrastructure moving towards private and public clouds. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Cloud Security Consultant at Tenchi Security.
Marcelo Lima obtained a BS in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul between 1985 and 1989. Marcelo then obtained additional certifications from Google, Google Cloud, and Google Cloud Security Engineer in 2021 and 2022, including Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure, Cloud Digital Leader, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, and Associate Cloud Engineer.
