Daniel Sims is an accomplished Senior Machine Vision Engineer currently at Ten One Aerospace since July 2023, with prior experience as a Staff Machine Vision Engineer at Orbit Fab from December 2021 to June 2023, where a Computer Vision Hazard and Operability Analysis was completed, resulting in significant cost savings for satellite refueling. Before that, Daniel held the position of Senior Computer Vision Engineer at MITRE from February 2018 to December 2021, and contributed to innovative projects at Columbia University in the City of New York, including the development of a self-powered camera. Daniel's early career involved optimizing mechanical designs as an Assistant Machinist at Columbia University and gaining foundational experience as an intern at Sarnoff Corporation. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia Engineering.
