Tawana Makombe has a diverse work experience starting in 2018 as a Radio Host and Content Producer for UCT Radio. In 2020, they worked as a Model for The Fantastic Agency until 2021 when they joined D&A Model Management as a Model. In 2022, Tawana became a Design & Video Intern for Ten Lifestyle Group and later transitioned to the role of Junior Motion & Instructional Designer.

Tawana Makombe pursued their education in a chronological manner which includes completing an Honours degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Cape Town in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same university, which they earned between 2018 and 2020. Tawana's education journey began at St Alban's College, where they completed their IEB Bachelor's degree from 2013 to 2017. The field of study for this degree is not specified.
