Olivier Gaubert has extensive experience in various roles and positions. Olivier started their career as a Microsoft Consultant at HP Enterprise Services, where they provided 3rd level support for Windows 2000 and Active Directory. Olivier also worked on projects involving Active Directory replication and implementing security measures.
Afterwards, Gaubert joined Barclays Bank as a Solution Architect and Microsoft AD expert. Olivier participated in a major migration project from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003, designing and documenting the new environment. Olivier also played a key role in disaster recovery solutions and ensured the smooth functioning of Forest 2003.
Gaubert then moved on to Royal Bank of Scotland as a Solution Infrastructure Architect. Here, they were responsible for developing a forest disaster recovery solution for RBS sites and designing technical solutions.
In 2005, Gaubert returned to Barclays Bank as an Infrastructure Architect, focusing on disaster recovery, infrastructure consolidation, and server virtualization. Olivier also took on responsibilities related to DFS, FRS, Exchange 2003 clusters, and MOM2005 and WSUS implementation.
From 2006 to 2014, Gaubert worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Solution Architect. Olivier designed IT infrastructures for UK Navy ships and land deployed forces, specifically focusing on NetApp Storage, VMware Virtualization, and Microsoft .NET bespoke apps.
In 2014, Gaubert joined IBM as an Infrastructure Architect, where they aligned and architected disaster recovery designs for QBE Insurance's critical applications.
Gaubert also has experience as a startup co-owner at Nexotrip, where they formed a company based on community platforms for the tourism industry. Additionally, they have their own limited company, Telesteo, which they use for short-term assignments.
Most recently, Gaubert has been working as the Principal Infrastructure Architect at Ministry of Justice/i2N. Olivier has been helping i2N transform into a cloud-based player and develop cloud-based environments for the Ministry of Justice.
Olivier Gaubert completed their education with the following degrees and certifications. In 1996, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Physics from Centrale Méditerranée. In 2013, they earned a TOGAF 9.1 certification in Enterprise Architecture from The Knowledge Academy. In the same year, they also completed a certification in SAN Storage from NetApp (Network Appliance). In 2012, they obtained a VCP5 certification from VMware. In 2009, they achieved a VCP4 certification from VMware. In 2006, they completed a certification in MCSE 2003 + Messaging from Microsoft, focusing on Windows 2003, Active Directory, and Exchange 2003. In 2003, they obtained a CCNP Switching certification from Cisco. In the same year, they also earned an MCSE 2000 + Messaging certification from Microsoft, with a focus on Windows 2003, Active Directory, and Exchange 2000. In 2001, they completed a CCSE FW-1 + VPN-1 certification at Checkpoint Boot Camp Cambridge. In 2000, they obtained MCP certifications in NT 4.0 Server Enterprise, NT 4.0 Workstation, and Networking Essentials from Microsoft. In 1999, they completed the Prince 2 Project Management Principles course from Duhig Berry Ltd. Olivier Gaubert's educational journey began in 1990 at Aix Marseille III University, where they pursued a PhD in Physics, completing it in 1996.
