Kumar Maddali has a strong background in technology development and leadership roles in various companies. Kumar started their career at Stratify as an Engineering Manager, where they led the design and delivery of email analytics and scaled the database and full text search capabilities. Kumar was later promoted to Principal Member of Technical Staff.

After their time at Stratify, Kumar joined Iron Mountain Digital as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they managed the architecture and design of a highly scalable search server. Kumar also played a key role in creating data products and building the infrastructure for eDiscovery products.

Following their work at Iron Mountain Digital, Kumar joined Oracle as the Director of Architecture for Search. In this role, they led architectural improvements to the search system, including reducing footprint, simplifying management, and improving search relevancy. Kumar also scaled the system to handle large volumes of data and made it cloud-enabled with multi-tenancy capabilities.

Kumar then moved on to Telenav, where they served as the Vice President of Product Development. Kumar led the innovation, specification, and road map for search and data platforms in the connected car ecosystem. Kumar also developed and patented various features and solutions, including a ubiquitous onebox search, auto suggestion, predictions service, and recommendations.

Most recently, Kumar has taken on the role of Vice President of Technology Development at Novo Insurance. Additionally, they are an Advisor at AdvisoryCloud.

Kumar Maddali obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Osmania University, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Kumar went on to pursue their Master's degree in Instrumentation from the National Institute of Technology Warangal, completing it from 1991 to 1994.
