Murray Allan is an accomplished geoscientist with extensive experience in the mining and research sectors. Currently serving as the Regional Chief Geoscientist for the Americas at Teck Resources Limited since May 2018, Murray has also held roles as Principal and Senior Geologist within the same organization. Prior to this, Murray worked as a Research Associate at the MDRU - Mineral Deposit Research Unit from April 2010 to May 2018 and as a Project Geologist at Anglo American from May 2007 to March 2010. Murray's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology, specializing in Ore Deposit Geochemistry, from the University of Leeds, as well as a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology and a Bachelor of Science Co-op with Honours in Applied Chemistry, both obtained from the University of Calgary. Additionally, a post-doctoral research position focused on geological storage of carbon dioxide was held at the University of Leeds.
