Bjorn Weeks is a seasoned professional in the field of environmental engineering and mine closure, currently serving as the Director of Closure at Teck Resources Limited since June 2022, where strategic leadership and oversight on closure-related matters for various projects and properties are provided. Previously, Bjorn held the position of Senior Advisor, Closure at Teck Resources Limited and worked for Golder Associates from May 2006 to May 2022 as a Principal and Global Lead for Mine Closure, among other roles. Bjorn also has experience as an independent consultant and worked as a Geoenvironmental Engineer at KGS Group from 1994 to 1999. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Manitoba, a PhD from the University of British Columbia's School of Mining, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
